Brad Hirst, 1811 Santa Rita Road, indicated staff had responded to his request <br />about the lighting of the artwork in Civic Park and made recommendations. He urged <br />Council to proceed with those recommendations. <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan indicated she was pleased to announce that the City had received <br />a permit from the State Fish and Game Department for the Happy Valley golf course. <br />This is the first of the four environmental permits required. The Fish and Wildlife <br />Service indicated an opinion would be provided on Friday. She was happy to see some <br />progress on this project after many years. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARING AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />PUD-07/PDR-62~ City of Pleasanton <br />Application for approval of the PUD Development Plan and Draft Master Plan for a <br />historic community park on an approximately six-acre site located at 3465 Foothill <br />Road. The draft master plan includes the following elements to be recommended <br />for final approval at this hearing: restored Alviso Adobe, reconstructed bunkhouse, <br />outdoor viewing deck, Native American rock feature, parking, small amphitheater, <br />reconstructed milking barn, visitors' center, bus turnout, interpretive signage, <br />restrooms, and nature trails. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Developmen0 - LDR (Low Density Residential) District. Also consider a negative <br />declaration for the project. (SR 01:016) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented a brief overview of the staff report and the necessary <br />planning steps. <br /> <br /> James W. Wolfe reviewed the process surrounding this project and introduced <br />Chris Pattillo and Cathy Garrett, of Pattillo & Garrett, who reviewed the master plan for <br />the park. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell asked about a hiking trail to the project and whether the budget for <br />the project included construction of a trail if one does not exist. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wolfe stated that trails are part of the master plan, but currently there is no <br />trail to this site. They are not included in the budget for this park. <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell then inquired about the fence near Foothill Road. <br /> <br /> Ms. Pattillo indicated it is a split rail fence with wire mesh on one side to prevent <br />small children from inadvertently getting onto Foothill Road. <br /> <br />Ms. Michelotti asked about the number of trees to be removed. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 6 01/23/01 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
