Mr. Roush said the property is zoned single-family residential. The property to
the north of it is zoned the same. Staff envisioned that these two parcels would be
merged to one lot.

Ms. Dennis felt the decision was how Council wanted to configure the parcels in
the neighborhood for long term planning. She believed selling the property to Mr.
Cielsielski made the most sense and preserves the historical integrity of the area.

Ms. Ayala was not ready to declare the property surplus. She hoped there could
be some other use for the Arroyo and wanted to keep options open.

Mr. Pico agreed it was not the time to declare this property surplus. There are
only draft recommendations and there is a public review process still to occur. There is
no hurry and he did not want to get rid of the property yet. If a decision is eventually
made to declare the property surplus, it should go to an open bidding process.

A substitute motion was made by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the
property not be declared surplus at this time.

The roll call vote was as follows:
A YES: Councilmembers A yala and Pico
NOES: Councilmeml0ers Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Council then voted on the original motion.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: Councilmembers Ayala and Pico
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6c
AI!~I$ tO ~l~ ]]elll~ COmmqlli~/DIFk ~r P~ Tgk Fo~ (SR ~:304)

It was moved by Mr. Pieo, seconded by Ms. Ayabt, to adopt Resolution No.
00-131, appointing Amy Paden, Joe Russo, and Dennis Winslow as at-large
representatives on the Task Force, thereby expanding the membership to 14.

Pleasanton City Council
Minutes 11 11/07/00
