CONSENTCALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, that the following <br />actions be taken: <br /> <br />a. Approve the City Council Minutes for the meeting of August 15, 2000. <br /> <br />Proclaim September 17-23, 2000 as "Constitution Week" in Pleasanton marking <br />the 213th anniversary of the drafting of the United States Constitution. <br /> <br />Approve claims for the month of July 2000 in the mount of $9,086,739.53, <br />investments, and COPS AB 3229 expenditures. (SR 00:237) <br /> <br />Approve the Consultant Agreement with Bucher Willis Rattliff/CCS Planning and <br />Engineering Joint Venture to provide project design and coordination services for <br />Phase I of the 1-580 Smart Corridor, Project No. 005017; authorize the City <br />Manager to execute the contract; and authorize the Director of Public Works to <br />modify the Task II and Task II1 contract elements as required to correspond to the <br />Policy Advisory Committe(s approved refined scope of work as developed in <br />Task I, while rerrraining within the approvcd prqiect funding. (SR 00:245) <br /> <br />Approvc the Consultant Agreement with Tanaka Design Group to provide <br />landscape architectural services for the design of Val Vista Community Park, <br />Prc~ject No. 997042; and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement. <br />(SR 00:238) <br /> <br />Approve the plm~s and specifications for resurfaalng of various City streets; <br />review the bids and award the construction contract to Bay Cities Paving & <br />Gradthg, Inc. of Concord for a low bid of $657,719.95; authorize the City <br />Manager to enter into the contract: and authorize the Director of Public Works to <br />approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency amount not to <br />exceed $131,500 (20% of construction bid), if necessary, for related subject <br />project work. (SR00:241) <br /> <br />Approve the plans and specification for the annual slurry seal of various City <br />streets; review the bids and award the construction contract to Valley Slurry Seal <br />Co. of West Sacramento for a low bid of $119,807; authorize the City Manager to <br />enter into the contract; and appropriate funds in the mount of $20,822 from <br />CIP#995003 to the subject project.
