to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the <br />prezoning and rezoning for the Bernal Property Specific Plan Area; to inWoduce <br />Ordinance No. 1814, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving the PUD (Planned Unit Development) D~elopment Plan for the Bernal <br />Property Specific Plan Area, including the provision that the berm be located near <br />1-680, the golf course to be included in Phase I plans, provided the Park and <br />Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, golf course committee and staff <br />have a proposal, and 50 acres for a community' park to be transferred to the City at <br />the first final map in the Central and Western Areas or when a master plan for a <br />park is adopted, whichever is earlier, and the balance of public land to be <br />transferred upon issuance of initial building permits for all products except those on <br />the Eastern Area, or 6/1/02, whichever is earlier; to introduce Ordinance No. 1815, <br />to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the <br />Preannexation Development Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and GHC <br />Bernal Investors, LLC (Greenbriar Homes Communities, Inc.) regarding the Bernal <br />Property Project; to adopt Resolution No. 00-112, approving the Growth <br />Management Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and GHC Bernal Investors, <br />LLC (Greenbriar Homes Communities~ Inc.) regarding the Bernal Property <br />project; to adopt Resolution No. 00-113, approving the Affordable Housing <br />Agreement; and to adopt Resolution No. 00-115, declaring the intention to issue and <br />sell revenue bonds to provide financing for a proposed multi-family housing project <br />and related matters. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pieo, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to adopt Resolution No. <br />00-114, adopting the CEQA Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan for the <br />Bernal Property Specific Plan and related approvals. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Cotmcilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelolli, Pico, and Mayor Tamer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver expressed his desire to have the park in another location and <br />pointed to the map to show where he would like it. There is access on two sides for a <br />park and there is the possibility of parking and a clubhouse for the nine-hole golf course. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated the Park and Recreation Commission wanted the lighted <br />sports fields as far away from the houses as possible for the long term use of the site. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti indicated she wanted to preserve as much open space along Bemal <br />Avenue as possible. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 25 08/21/00 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
