Mr. B~ougher greed to draft amcedmants to the ordinance reflecting the inquiries made by Council. Mr. Pico inquired about a theater in PJ~anWn that would perhaps qualify as an adult theater. Bill Pactman, Police Chief, explained the difficulty in regulating this issue. Mr. pa,tman and Mr. Beougher agreed to meet and discuss this matter and then bring the proposed ordinance to Council for adoption. It was moved by Ms. Mobr, and seconded by Ms. Scfibner, to continue this item until the August 3, 1993 Regular City Council meeting. Ms. Mohr asked how the meetings are being noticed. Mr. Swift answered that mailings were being sent to Castro Valley, Sunol and surrounding areas and the public is being noticed through the newspapers. Ms. Scfibner suggested using box ads to notify the public of the meetings because of the timing. Mayor Tarper suggested that the deadline be July 30. This would enable Council to take aeilon. Mayor Tarper was concerned that the Committee will need more time. He wanted to do everything possible to get the recommendations through the process even if it meant changing the process and asking the Planning Commission to have a special hesfing before the Council meeting on the 30th.
