It was moved by Mayor Tarvet, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to direct staff to
submit intersection improvements at Foothill Road and Muirwood Drive South as
an unfunded future project in the next CIP budget review (2002-2006) and to direct
staff to continue to monitor traffic conditions at Foothill Road and Muirwood Drive
South, and make recommendations during subsequent CIP budget reviews as
appropriate.

Mr. Pico asked if the City constructed the improvements, would there be
reimbursement from a lhture developer.

Mr. van Gelder believed one way to get reimbursement would be to expand the
development fee proposal to include this work. The rest of the Foothill improvements
that were not paid for by a developer had 31% of the costs covered from the development
lbe. That would drive the tee up.

Mr. Roush indicated that once public improvements are installed, reimbursement
could not be obtained unless it could be shown that the improvements were oversized to
accommodate a particular development.

Mr. Pico asked if all these proposed improvements were within city limits.

Mr. van Gelder said they were within Pleasanton.

Mayor Tarvet indicated staff and Council would monitor this in order to get the
necessary funding when it is appropriate to construct the improvements.

The roll cail vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6f
Determination of a meeting schedule for July City Council meethas
(SR 00:140)

Deborah Acosta presented the staff report.

It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Michelotfi, to schedule Council
meetings on July 11 and July 18, 2000.

Pleasanton City Council 16 05/16/00
Minutes
