It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to have the Mayor send
a letter to the president of the School Board and to schedule a meeting after the new
members are sworn in.

Mayor Tarver suggested potential agenda items for the joint meeting would be
Neal school completion, high school size, the audit, etc.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti
ABSTAIN None:

Ms. Ayala suggested setting a time limit for the length of the meetings for the
next few agendas so Council is not faced with making decisions at two o'clock in the
morning.

8. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR

There was then discussion about special meetings and the topics on the
forthcoming agenda. The meeting of October 19 will be to consider all the golf course
related issues. The October 26 meeting would be for the remainder of Council's normal
business. There was a proposed meeting for October 21 to consider the San Francisco
issues. Mr. Roush also pointed out October 26 and November 9 and 15 were also set
aside for San Francisco issues.

Mayor Tarver indicated he cannot do this. He asked for a review of the upcoming
agenda items. (Ms. Acosta reviewed them.) Mayor Tarver did not think any of those
items needed to be heard before November 2.

Mr. Roush agreed that even the hearing regarding Nolan Farms, which could be
affected by the CAPP Initiative if it passes, could still be dealt with on November 2.

Ms. Acosta also indicated it was very awkward that the Summerhill application
would be heard by the Planning Commission on the 13th and then Council would hear it
on the 19m.

Mayor Tarver was also concerned that the golf course issues be resolved before
the annexation election on November 16. He then asked if there would be a light agenda
on November 2.

Ms. Acosta said that is a problem if all the items for October 26 are continued to
November 2.

Pleasanton City Council
Minutes

18 10/05/99
