Item lb <br />Oath of Office and Installation <br /> <br /> Judge Ron Hyde administered the oath of office to the newly elected officials: Ben <br />Tarver (re-elected Mayor), Becky Dennis (re-elected Councilmember) and Sharrell Michelotti <br />(new Councilmember). <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Rebecca L. Dennis, Thomas P. Pico, Jr., Sharrell Michelotti and <br />Ben Tarver. <br /> <br /> Sharrell Michelotti thanked her family, campaign workers, and supporters. She indicated <br />her desire was to bring a feeling of cooperation and consensus to do the best for Pleasanton. <br />She urged citizens to contact her. She vowed to consider all sides of issues and do what is best <br />for the community. Ms. Michelotti urged regional cooperation and planning. Her priorities <br />were to complete the General Plan review and to continue emphasis on economic development. <br />She wanted all citizens to be proud of their city and City Council and indicated it takes <br />involvement. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis welcomed Ms. Michelotti to the Council and expressed her appreciation to <br />her family and supporters. She agreed that citizen participation is a key to the quality of <br />government in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver also welcomed Ms. Michelotti. He agreed with the prior comments and <br />thanked all his campaign workers and family. He was thankful for the opportunity to serve <br />another two years. He agreed with the need for cooperation with the neighboring cities and the <br />County to create a vision for the Valley. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico welcomed Ms. Michelotti and commented on the voter tnrnout and the fact that <br />Ms. Michelotti received over 50% of the votes. He thanked all candidates who had run for <br />election and did not get elected. Their participation contributed to the dialogue of the campaign <br />and furthered a healthy democratic process. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti thanked Dorothy Scribner for her service on the Council and to the <br />community. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 7a, AP-94-10/UP-94-52, Frank Abigana, was continued to January 3, 1995. <br /> <br />12/06/94 <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
