MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> June 2, 1969 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - pLEDGE TO FL~.G <br /> Mayor Bernard Gerton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll xalich is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton were present. <br />Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of <br />Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr. Edgar, <br />Assistant City Manager, was absent. <br /> <br />AGENDA AM~.NDMENTS <br /> There were no amendments to the agenda. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Sp~liotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />1. The reading of Ordinance No. 558, amending Ordinance No. 447, National <br /> Electrical Code, 1965, Providing a grounding system for residential <br /> occupancies, be waived. <br /> <br />2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 558. <br /> <br />3. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-125, approving the Final Subdivision Map and <br /> Improvement Plans for Tract No. 3047, Stoneridge, Unit No. 2. <br /> <br />4. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-126, accepting the deed from Amador Valley <br /> Investors (Pairlands) for a Public Service Easement. <br /> <br />5. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-127, accepting the deed from Title Insurance <br /> and Trust (Val Vista) for Planter Pockets. <br /> <br />6. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-128, accepting the deed from MacKay Homes, Inc., <br /> (Arroyo del Prado) for an easement for road purposes. <br /> <br />7. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-129, accepting the deed from MacKay Homes, Inc., <br /> (Arroyo del Prado) for a Recreational Easement along Arroyo del Valle. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEAR!~]C3 <br />~p~i__cation of Amador Valley InvestorS, P_. Fa~laD~s DrillS_L <br />a;Lld containing approximately 2.1 acres <br /> Mayor Gerton declared the public hearing open. <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the past discussion and action of the Planning Commission. <br /> Mr. Castro displayed maps and called attention to the well planned landscaping. <br />He also explained the variances and front yard setbacks. <br /> Mr. George Oakes, representing Amador Valley Investors, stated that he ~s <br />complying with all aspects. He explained the landscaping plans for the scre~ning <br />between the six-plexes and the adjoining single family residence. <br /> ~71~r. Robert Pearson, 3190 Churchill Court, displayed maps and questioned the <br />off-street parking which he felt was inadequate. Mr. Pearson was also concerned <br />with the traffic flow and the fact that only 1218 residential hook-ups to the <br />sewer were allowed. Mr. Pearson asked if the connections for the additional 50 <br />acres to be developed by Mr. Oakes was included in the allowable 1218 connections <br />and was told they were not included. <br /> <br /> <br />
