Discussion and Decision ~e: .Ci~y's pos~.ion re~arding V..C..S.D.'s Tassajara Annex No.___,1 Mr. Fales reviewed his report to the Valley Planning Committee, dated February 13, 1969, which listed the reasons and explanations of the reasons why V.C.S.D. should reconsider its action in initiating the Tassajara Annexation and withdraw the application for annexation. After discussion of this report, it was moved by Councilman Eega and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolution No. 69-122, reiterating the City of Pleasanton~s opposition to V.C.S.D. ts TassaJara Annex No. 1, and directing CS~ty staff representation at the Local Agency Formation Commission hearing of the subject annexation, be adopted. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Revort of the Director of ~ublic Works Re: Truck Routes throughout the City Mr. Campbell reviewed his report and presented a map showing several truck routes through the City. Hr. Campbell recommended that this report be submitted to the Valley Sand and Gravel Committee for their study prior to any action taken by the City Council. It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Betailia that the Study and Report on Truck Routes which was prepared by the Director of Public Y~orks, dated Hay 15, 1969, be submitted to the Valley Sand and Gravel Committee for their study and recommendations. The proposed first-year budget for the joint data processing progrexn as delineated in the report, dated April 4, 1969, be approved. 2.The cost apportionment for the first year of joint operation as outlined in the report, dated May 21, 1969, be approved, 3.The execution of the Joint Exercise of Powers Act agreement creating the joint program, be authorized. 4. The retention of a Data Processing Manager be authorized in accordance with the proposed budget, effective July 1, 1969, be authorized. After some discussion of this program, it was decided to continue this matter until a full Council was in attendance.
