4!.73 <br /> <br />aevort of the Planning Con~n..issio9 Re: App. lication. 0f Costanzo-Wilson Development <br />9o.~..~or an amendment to 0rd......No. 520.r.ezoning from the RM-15~.RM.~25 Districts and <br />R__-_lDistric.t~ to the RM-15~ RM-20 and R-1 Districts. tha.t property located on the <br />west side of Santa Rita ROad across .from Hohr AVe,~ and containin~ aVprox. 41 acres <br /> Mr. Fales read the report from the Planning Director, dated May 15, 1969, ~fch <br />stated that the Planning Commission again reviewed the rezoning and tentative map <br />as was directed by the City Council, and reaffirmed their previous action approv- <br />ing Exhibit B and the zoning that is in conformante with the tentative map. <br /> Considerable discussion ensued regarding the back-up lots facing Scats Rita <br />Road which would result with the development of Exhibit B. <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos presented a number of photographs of various back-up <br />lots facing other thoroughfares in Pleasanton which depicted much to be desired in <br />the way of aesthetics. <br /> Councilman Betailia stated that he was not in favor of the standard back-up <br />lots facing thoroughfares as most of them were not aesthetically pleasing. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Kegs that Ordinance <br />No. 557, amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning the Costanzo-Wilson property in <br />accordance with Exhibit "B", be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Rega and Reid <br />NOES: Councilmen Betaills, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Carton <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, representing Costanzo-Wilson, stated that there would not <br />be any multiples north of this subject property on Santa ~ita Road. <br /> After additional discussion regarding this matter, it was moved by Councilman <br />Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Bernilia that Ordinance No. 55~, amend- <br />inE Ordinance No. 520, rezoning the ~l-acre property located on the west side of <br />Santa Rita Road cross from Mohr Avenue and owned by Costanzo-Wilson Development <br />Company, in accordance with the proposed Plan or Exhibit "A", with the provision <br />that there would not be any multiple zoning north of this property on Santa Rita <br />Road, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: Councilmen Rega and Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> The staff was instructed to inform Costanzo-Wilson that they should apply for <br />a modification of the Tentative Map either to eliminate the area of inconsistency <br />or to change the map in order that it confonn with the approved zoning for the <br />area. <br /> <br />Mayor Getton declared a recess at 10:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Gerton reconvened the meeting at 10:25 P.M. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITy MANAGER <br />R@port of the Director of Public Works Re: Progress report.re~arding truck routes <br /> Mr. Fales read the preliminary report from the Director of Public Works dated <br />May 15, 1969, on the truck routes within the City which stated that in order to <br />reach a firm conclusion on a single route a time extension of one week is re- <br />quested. Mr. Fales stated he would place this matter on the ageads for the meet- <br />the of May 26, 1969. <br /> <br />Proposed improvement of Fairland Park and. approval of ~pprop~iate. a~reement <br /> Mr. Fales read his report, dated May 16, 1969, and the Improvement Agreement, <br />~ich stated that the proposed Capital Improvement Program for the period 1968-~9 <br />through 1973-74 allocates $15,000.00 towards improvement of Fairlands Park durinE <br />the current year with an additional $15,000.00 proposed for allocation in 1971-72. <br /> In his report, Mr. Fales stated that a proposal from Amador Valley Investors <br />offerin~ to improve a total of 6~ acres of Fairlands Park now for a total payment <br />by the City of $20,000.00. Their improvements would consist of automat{c spr~.nk- <br />lets, turf and paths. <br /> Mr. Fales stated tha~ in the event only $15,000.00 is available for the3 work, <br />Amador Valley Investors can provide these same improvements in approximate~.y 3~ <br />acres of the 13 acre park. <br /> <br /> <br />
