HiNUTES <br /> of <br /> THE ~EETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasaffron, California <br /> April ~8, 1969 <br /> <br />_CALL TO ORDER - PL~GE TO ~LA~G <br /> Mayor Berusrd Getton called the Regular Needing of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.H., and then led the pledge of allegianceto the flag. <br /> <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll ~lch is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Hayor Getton were present. <br />Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, DirecLox <br />of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr F~Ies, <br />City Manager, was absent. <br /> <br />AGENDA AME, NDNENr. S <br />Mr. Edgar requested that the adoption of 0rdinauce No. 554, Regulating Card Rooms, <br />Card Tables and the Use Thereof for Gambling, be removed from the Consent Calendar <br />iu order to allow Mr. Baker, Attorney representing the o~n~ers of Pastime Pool, to <br />re~uest au extension of one week. <br /> <br />Mr. Baker stated that he would like the adoption of this ordinance postponed for <br />one we~k as he had several items to discuss with the City Attorney and ~he Chief <br />of Police. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Berating t~at <br />the adoption of Ordinance No. 554, be postponed until May 5, 1969. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was a~ folIqws:. <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spil{otopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Councilman Reid requested that the report of the Planning Commission regarding <br />the approval of the Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No'. 3120, Pleasanton Meadows. <br />be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. Councilman Reid asked if <br />it was legal for the Council to reverse a decision of the Planning Commission <br />with reference to the approval of tentative maps. Mr. Hirst pointed out that in <br />this particular instance, adequate control could be retained by the Council <br />through their review of the planned unit developmen~ for this area. <br /> <br />Mayor Gerton requested that the application of Amador Valley Investors to re-zone <br />from the R-1 District to the PUD District be removed from the Consent Calendar <br />for discussion. Mayor Getton questioned the authenticity of a Planned Unit Deve- <br />lopment within a Planned Unit Development. Discussion with regard to the amend- <br />mentprocess of the PUD Zoning District in terms of approved districts being <br />changed at the will of the developer. It was the consensus of the Council that <br />a policy should be initiated by the Planning Da~artment, and later approved by <br />the Council, that would act to provide direction to the Planning Commission and <br />the staff regarding amendments to the PUD's. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that <br />the following items on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> 1. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-81, approving the Specifications and call- <br /> ing for bids on the demolition of existing buildings on Amador Valley <br /> Community Park. <br /> <br /> 2. Continuance of discussion on May 12, 1969 on the application of Amador <br /> Valley Investors to re-zone from an R-1 District to a PUD District a <br /> portion of Parcels 2-6 and 6-2, Assessor's Map Book No. 946, Block 1101, <br /> said properties containing approximately 11.0 acres. <br /> <br /> <br />
