City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll ~lch is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Hayor Getton were present. Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, DirecLox of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr F~Ies, City Manager, was absent. S Mr. Edgar requested that the adoption of 0rdinauce No. 554, Regulating Card Rooms, Card Tables and the Use Thereof for Gambling, be removed from the Consent Calendar iu order to allow Mr. Baker, Attorney representing the o~n~ers of Pastime Pool, to re~uest au extension of one week. Mr. Baker stated that he would like the adoption of this ordinance postponed for one we~k as he had several items to discuss with the City Attorney and ~he Chief of Police. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Berating t~at the adoption of Ordinance No. 554, be postponed until May 5, 1969. The roll call vote was a~ folIqws:. AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spil{otopoulos and Mayor Getton NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilman Reid requested that the report of the Planning Commission regarding the approval of the Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No'. 3120, Pleasanton Meadows. be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. Councilman Reid asked if it was legal for the Council to reverse a decision of the Planning Commission with reference to the approval of tentative maps. Mr. Hirst pointed out that in this particular instance, adequate control could be retained by the Council through their review of the planned unit developmen~ for this area. Mayor Gerton requested that the application of Amador Valley Investors to re-zone from the R-1 District to the PUD District be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. Mayor Getton questioned the authenticity of a Planned Unit Deve- lopment within a Planned Unit Development. Discussion with regard to the amend- mentprocess of the PUD Zoning District in terms of approved districts being changed at the will of the developer. It was the consensus of the Council that a policy should be initiated by the Planning Da~artment, and later approved by the Council, that would act to provide direction to the Planning Commission and the staff regarding amendments to the PUD's. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the following items on the Consent Calendar be approved: 1. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-81, approving the Specifications and call- ing for bids on the demolition of existing buildings on Amador Valley Community Park. 2. Continuance of discussion on May 12, 1969 on the application of Amador Valley Investors to re-zone from an R-1 District to a PUD District a portion of Parcels 2-6 and 6-2, Assessor's Map Book No. 946, Block 1101, said properties containing approximately 11.0 acres.
