Resolution of Intention to Abate Weeds on ~pproxi~at~l7 500 properties located throughout the City Mr. Hirst reviewed the proposed resolution of intention to abate weeds, and recommended adoption of this resolution. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolution No. 69-74, Declaring that weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton constitute public nuisances and that the same shall be abated, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Reid, Spiltotopoulos and Mayor Gerton NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Rega COMvJUNICATIONS From Honorable Ronald Jam~s, Mayor of .San Jo§.e~ Re: Proclamation of "Senior Citizens ~,f)nth" and attendance at Senior Citizens' Conference It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that Mayor Getton be authorized to proclaim the Month of May, 1969, as "Senior Citizens' Month". The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Rega From H. W. Nobriga, submitting resignat.ion.from Recreation and Park Commission It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolution No. 69-75, accepting Mr. Nobriga's resignation as a Commissioner of the Parks and Recreation Commission, with regret, be adopted.
