341' <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> April 7, 1969 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br /> Mayor Bernard Gerton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gerton announced that Councilman Rega was critically injured as s result <br />of a car-train collision at the Southern Pacific Railroad Crossing on Ray Street. <br /> Re am <br />Hayor Gerton added that Councilman g s condition is improving. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Council- <br />man Rega was absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, <br />Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, <br />Director of Planning, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDmentS <br /> Mr. Faies requested that a report concerning the fixing of the time and place <br />of Council Meetings be included in the agenda under Reports of the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerton requested that Special Reports be heard immediately following the <br />action taken on the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />CO~7SENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spi]]etopoulos <br />that the following items on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />1. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 550, amending Ordinance No. 520, re- <br /> zoning from the '~" District to the "O" District a portion of that property <br /> described as the southwest corner of Black Avenue and Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br />2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 550. <br /> <br /> Adoption of Resolution No. 69-62b, authorizing payment of $3,110.45 to Mr. John <br /> McWilliams for the remodeling of City Hall and Vehicle Shed addition at the <br /> Corporation Yard. <br /> <br />4. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-62c, authorizing payment of $14,064.30 to Colli- <br /> shaw Sprinkler and Irrigation Company for the installation of the sprinkler <br /> system at Kottinger Park. <br /> <br /> .~. Setting the Public Hearing on the application for an amendment to Ordinance No. <br /> 520, rezoning from the RM-15, RM-25 Districts and R-1 District to the RM-15, <br /> RM-20 Districts and R-1 District that property located on the west side of <br /> Santa Rita Road across from Mohr Avenue, containing approximately 41 acres, at <br /> 8:00 P.M., on April 21, 1969. <br /> <br />6.
