REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Matters for the .Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Fales stated that copies of the final report of the ICMA Task Force on <br />Race Relations, of which he is a member, have been forwarded to the Councilmen <br />for their information. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fales called the Councilmen's attention to an article appearing in the <br />gall Street Journal, dated January 30, 1969, regarding the removal of lead from <br />gasoline in order to help control air pollution. <br /> Mr. Fales was directed to have copies of this article sent to Mr. John Long <br />and also to the Press. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />COM/~UNICATIONS <br /> There were no communications read at this meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED .BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Beratlis asked what could be done to improve the appearance of the <br />back side of houses that back up to major streets. Mr. Fales stated that he would <br />refer this matter to the Planning Commission for their recommendations. <br /> <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos asked that the gate to the entrance of the McCloud <br />Reservoir be chained in order to prevent the public from possible injury on the <br />road leading to the reservoir. <br /> <br /> Councilman Rega stated that three Councilmen were in violation of the Council's <br />policy on more than two Councilmen flying in the same plane, and suggested that <br />each Councilman in violation be fined 50¢. <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos stated that he, Councilman Beratlis and Mayor Getton <br />were viewing the Apperson Ridge property. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Reid that Council- <br />men Beratlis, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton each be fined 50¢ to be contributed <br />to the Pleasanton Employees Association for violation of Council policy. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION RE: APPOINTMENTS TOTHE PLEASANTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Mayor Gerton recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:05 P.M. <br />Mayor Gerton reconvened the meeting at 11:50 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:53 P.M., it was moved by Councilman <br />Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Reid that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br />again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on February 10, 1969. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> hELEN C.
