"I" Industrial <br />Districts~ SectiOn 8.106?.Unde~MroUnd Utilities <br /> Mr. Fales reported that the public hearing on this matter was continued from <br />January 20, 1969, in order to allow representatives from the Industrial Committee <br />of the Chamber of Commerce and the Public Utilities to study the proposed change. <br /> Mr. Fales also reported that the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Com- <br />merce and the City staff were preparing to public a booklet outlininS various <br />Zoning Ordinance provisions and City policy regarding industrial development. <br />Mr. Fales stated that the booklet would include the following elements: <br />1. The presentation, in sequence, of all Zoning Ordinance provisions which in any <br /> way effect industrial development. This would not only include the articles <br /> dealing with "I-P" and "I-G" Districts, but also other pertinent provisions <br /> dealing with, for example, air pollution control, site planning, building and <br /> landscape architecture, off-street parking, utilities, etc. <br /> 2. A map indicating the zoned "I-P" and "I-G" Districts in the City. <br />3. A policy statement, in the form of a Council resolution, stating the City's <br /> attitude in encouraging industrial development and indicating a willingness <br /> to work with industry to effectuate location in the City. <br />4. A letter from the Mayor's office describing the purpose and intent of the <br /> booklet, and again emphasizing City cooperation in industrial development. <br /> <br /> There being no public hearing protest, it was moved by Councilman Reid and <br />seconded by Councilman Bernilia, that the Public Hearing, be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bernills, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Rega that Ordinance <br />No. 546, amending Ordinance No. 520, Zoning Ordinance, Article 8, Section 8.106, <br />Underground Utilities, to require that the section pertaining to the "I-P" District <br />also apply to the "I-G" District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betailia, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Getton and the Councilmen stated their approval of the Promotional <br />Booklet conception. <br /> <br />A__Dplication o(_ the Plannin~ Commission to amend Section 17.105ai Art. 17~ Ord. No. <br />320~ by addin~ the wor~s "which is"incl~ded in the total sign area allowab~ ~or ~ <br />service station" to said section <br /> Mayor Gerton declared the above public hearing open. <br /> Mr. Castro stated that the purpose of this amendment is to clarify the intent <br />of the sign ordinance in regard to the total allowable square footage of signing <br />for Service Stations in a C-N District. <br /> There being no public protest, it was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded <br />by Councilman Reid that the public hearing, be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Betaills, that <br />Ordinance No. 547, amending Ordinance No. 520, Zoning Ordinance, Article 17, <br />Section 17.105a, to add the words "which is included in the total sign area <br />al!cwable for a service station", be introduced. <br />The ro~l call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betailia, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
