Comm.@rc~ Re: Ma.]Or Zone No. 7 flood <br /> control facilities in industrial areas <br /> Judge William Gale, representing the Industrial Committee of the Pleasanton <br /> Area Chamber of Commerce, reported that his Committee had employed Richard Karn <br /> and Ted Fairfield, Engineers, to study the flood control facilities in the Hop- <br /> yard Road-Arroyo Mocho area. <br /> -- Judge Gale advised the Council that this study will cost $1,500. which is to <br /> be funded from the $5,000. the City of Pleasanton has allocated for the develop- <br /> merit of industry. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br /> approving the $1,500.00 expenditure for a flood control study in the Hopyard Road- <br /> Arroyo Mocho area, to be made from the $5,000.00 fund reserved for this purpose· <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, gega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />h~ Report of the Plannin~ Commission Re: Report of the Alameda County Planning De- <br />,_~ partment re~ardin~.."Land Use Control for Freeway Interchange A~as-Routes 580 and <br />C~D 680, Livermore-Amador-Sunol Valley" <br />~D Mr. William Fraley, Planning Director for Alameda County, discussed his report <br />~-) regarding the above land use control. <br />L~ After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded <br /> by Councilman Rega that the report of the Alameda County Planning Department re- <br /> garding "Land Use Control for Freeway Interchange Areas - Routes 580 and 680, <br /> Livermore-Amador-Sunol Valley", excepting for the Santa Rita-Tassajara Road with <br /> Route 580 and the Bernal Avenue-Route 680 interchanges, which is to be considered <br /> separately, be endorsed. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br /> ' NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAINED:Councilman Beratlis <br /> <br /> Report of the Planning Commission Re: Requ~s.~..~y Alameda County for City Council <br /> pUpport regardipg the amendment of the State Master Plan for Scenic Highways to <br /> include Route No.s 580 and 680 <br /> Mr. Fraley, Planning Director of Alameda County, also reviewed the past action <br /> of the Advisory Committee on a Master Plan for Scenic Highways and requested City <br /> Council support regarding the amendment of the State Master Plan for Scenic High- <br /> ways to include Route Nos. 580 and 680. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that <br /> the City Council support the Alameda County Board of Supervisors Resolution No. <br /> 121884, requesting the State Legislature to initiate amendment proceedings for <br /> the inclusion in the State Scenic Highway System of Route 580, from the inter- <br /> section of Route 239 and Route 205 west of Tracy, to Route 80 (Bay Bridge Approach) <br /> and a small portion of Route 80 (Bay Bridge Approach) and Route 680 from the north <br /> County Line southerly to the south County Line. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Report Re: P~oposed City Council policy establishing developer's obligations for <br /> crossings. gf...major storm drain channels <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Director of Public Works, dated March 6, <br /> 1967, regarding the above matter. Mr. Fales also stated that this recommended <br /> policy is the result of considerable thought and was discussed with several <br /> developers and engineers and tested in the examples given for equity and effi- <br /> ciency. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br /> that Resolution No. 69-11, Establishing a Policy regarding the Developers' Obli- <br /> gations for Crossing of Major Storm Drain Channels, as recommended in the report <br /> from the Director of Public Works, dated March 6, 1967, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT.
