<br />333 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />November 3, 1969 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br />Mayor Bernard Gerton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Rega and Mayor Gerton were present. Councilmen Reid and <br />Spiliotopoulos were absent. Mr. Fales. City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City <br />Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney. and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, <br />were present. Mr. Castro, Director of Planning. was absent. <br /> <br />~ AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />0; Councilman Rega requested that an executive meeting be held prior to the <br />~ adjournment of this meeting. <br />U <br />U Mr. Fales requested that item "f" be added to the Consent Calendar. He stated <br />that this item would call for an introduction of an ordinance to annex a small <br />parcel, about 30 feet wide, on the southern end of Dr. Long's property on Foothill <br />Road. Mr. Fales also stated that this annexation, known as Annexation No. 63, was <br />a result of an error in locating the proper City Limit line. He reported that this <br />Annexation has been approved by the Local Agency Formation Committee and that the <br />City Attorney had advised him that in accordance with a new law. when there is but <br />one ownership involved, there is no need for a public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Fales requested that the matter of refiling a petition to detach the areas <br />of Annexation Nos. 53-56 from the Valley Community Services District be added to <br />the agenda under Reports of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />90NSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Rega that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 583, amending Ordinance No. 520, re- <br />zoning from the I-G-3 acres (General Industry, minimum lot size three acres) <br />District to the I-G-40,000 (General Industry, minimum lot size 40,000 square <br />feet) District, that parcel of land described as Parcel 1-2 of Assessor's Map <br />Book 941, Block 1300. containing 49 acres, more or less. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 583. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-262, authorizing the execution of an agreement <br />with Western Pacific Railroad regarding the Bernal Avenue right-of-way. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-263, authorizing the execution of an agreement <br />with the City and County of San Francisco regarding the Bernal Avenue right- <br />of-way and civic center site. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-264, authorizing Progress Payment No.4. in the <br />amount of $27.474.05. be paid to Gil Construction Company for work completed <br />on the Santa Rita Road Pumping Station. <br /> <br />f. Introduction of Ordinance No. 584.
