Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City
Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of
Planning, were present.

AGENDA AMENDMENTS
Mr. Fales indicated that the public hearing on the application of the Stoneson
Development Corporation for PUD zoning of approximately thirty acres which was
originally scheduled for this meeting was omitted from the agenda. Mr. Fales
stated that this omission was due to the fact that a field trip has been arranged
by Stoneson Development Corporation to take the Councilmen to the Southern Cali-
fornia area to visit a development similar to the one proposed in their P.U.D.
Application No. 69-5 for their property in Pleasanton. Mr. Fales asked that the
public hearing be heard on November 3. 1969, which will be after the field trip
and will allow the Council to make a better evaluation of the subject application.
Mr. Robert E. Lee, 4938 Drywood Court, suggested that the Council, rather than
take the field trip to Southern California, visit a development in the City of
Alameda that was designed by the same architect that Stoneson Development is em-
ploying to design the subject P.U.D. in Pleasanton. Mr. Lee stated that the
Alameda development in Alameda is not a very desirable development. Mayor Gerton
asked Mr. Lee to advise Mr. Fales of the exact location of the Alameda development
in order that the City Council can visit that site. Mr. Lee also asked that the
Council delay the public hearing on the Stoneson application until the Murray
School District had time to consider the impact of school children in their dis-
trict resulting from the development of this townhouse P.U.D. After considerable
discussion regarding this matter, Mayor Gerton advised Mr. Lee that the Council
would hold the public hearing on Stoneson's application on November 10th, 1969,
in order to allow the Murray School District Trustees to study this proposed
development.

Councilman Reid requested time on the Special Reports item on the agenda to
report on the meeting he and Mr. Fales held with Mr. Frank Nicol, Department of
Veteran's Affairs, regarding the Cal-Vet Loan situation.

CONSENT CALENDAR
It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos
that the following item listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved:

a. Approval of Claim Warrants in the amount of $86,980.24 for September, 1969.

The ro 11
AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:

call vote was as follows:
Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton
None
None

PUJ\L1C HEARINGS
App~al of the Shell Oil Company, 235 W.
