<br />28:7 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />October 13. 1969 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br />Vice-Mayor George Spiliotopoulos called the Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />~OLL CALL <br />City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Reid and Vice Mayor Spiliotopoulos were present. Councilman <br />Rega and Mayor Gerton were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant <br />City Manager, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of <br />Planning,were present. Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, was absent. <br /> <br />~ <br />..... <br />00 <br />'-:> <br />U <br />U <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />Mr. Fales requested that the Public Protest Hearing regarding the annexation <br />of approximately 23 acres along Vineyard Avenue, commonly known as Annexation No. <br />61, be postponed until October 20, 1969. <br /> <br />Councilman Reid requested that the Report of the Planning Commission regarding <br />the Tentative Condition eliminating sidewalks in a portion of tract 3004, Valley <br />Trails, Unit 1, be removed from the Consent Calendar and discussed as a separate <br />item. <br /> <br />CONSEIIT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Reid that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved. <br /> <br />a. Approval of the City Council Minutes for September 8th. 15th and 22nd. 1969. <br /> <br />? Adoption of Resolution No. 69-240, authorizing Progress Payment No. 12, in the <br />amount of $6,817.32, be made to Western Empire Construction Company for work <br />completed on the Pleasanton Main Fire Station. <br /> <br />c. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 573. amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning <br />from the "A" District to the C-N. RM-1500, RM-4000 and R-1-6500 Districts, that <br />property located between the Arroyo Del Valle and Hansen Drive. west of Valley <br />Avenue, said property being a portion of Tract No. 2905. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 573. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-241, approving the Final Subdivision Map and <br />Improvement Plans for Tract No. 3145. Arroyo del Prado, Unit No.7. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-242. authorizing Progress Payment No.3. in the <br />amount of $12,313.39, be made to Gil Construction Company for work completed on <br />the Santa Rita Road Pumping Station. <br /> <br />g. Setting the Public Hearing at 8:00 P.M., on November 3, 1969, on the application <br />of the Planning Commission for an amendment to Ordinance No. 520 to amend Sec- <br />tion 2.109 to prohibit the location of accessory structures in front yard set- <br />backs. <br /> <br />The roll <br />A YES: <br />NOES: <br />AB3ENT: <br /> <br />call vote was as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Reid and Vice Mayor Spiliotopoulos <br />None <br />Councilman Rega and Mayor Gerton <br /> <br />h. Councilman Reid initiated discussion on the matter of the tentative condition <br />eliminating sidewalks in a portion of Tract No. 3004. Valley Trails. It was <br />decided to postpone this issue until the next meeting when a full Council was <br />anticipated. <br />
