SPECIAL REPORTS ,JUdge William Gale, representing the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Ccmmerce, presented each member of the Council a packet of brochures regarding Industrial Development in Pleasanton. Judge Gale explained that it included, among g~neral information necessary to prospective developers, portions of the zoning ordinance pertinent to developing. Mayor Getton thanked Judge Gale and .... Mr. John Edmonds and stated that he felt it would aid and entice industrial developers to develop in Pleasanton. Judge Gale commended the City staff for their assistance in preparing this report. PUBLIC H~RINGS ~Dplication of the Planning Commission for an amendment to Section ~.102.~ Ord. No. ~52_0., relating to front-yard setbacks Mayor Gerton declared the above public hearing open. Mr. Castro outlined this application and reviewed the report of the City Attorney regarding setback requirements, dated June 27, 1969. It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that, because of the absence of Councilmen Beratlis and Rega, that the public hearing on ~;~.e above matter be continued until August 18, 1969, and that the public hearings ~.~ on the applications of the Planning Commission relating to Planned Unit Development OO and to Temporary Uses also be heard on that date. ~ The roll call vote was as follows: L.) NAGER A?,~rova]. to create a PlanningTechDician Position within the Plann~ing Department Mr. Fales reviewed his report regarding this matter, dated July 31, 1969, and also reqL~sted that the one vacant 'position of Assistant Planner not be filled durjng the 1969-70 Fiscal Year and that this proposed new position of Planning ~Cechnician be authorized and filled. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that Resolution No. 69-183, authorizing the creation of a Planning Technician Fosition within the Planning Department, be adopted.
