MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> August 4, 1969 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br /> ~Iayor Bernard Getton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting to order at 8:00 I'~M.~ <br /> and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Councilmen Beratlis <br /> and Rega were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. CamDbell, Director of Public <br /> lqorks, and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr. Edgar, Assistant <br /> City Manager, and Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, were absent. <br /> <br /> AG/NDA A~NDMENTS <br /> Mr. Fales requested that time be granted after the Consent Calendar had been <br /> heard to allow a representative from the Industrial Committee of tile Chamber of <br /> Commerce So present a brochure to the Council. <br /> <br /> May,:,r Getton requested that further consideration of the Report of the City <br /> Co:~DCil Citizens Advisory Committee on Human Relations be heard on August 18th <br /> ~ order to allow discussion from a full City Council. <br /> <br /> C~NSENT CALENDAR <br /> it ~as moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that <br /> t~e folluwing items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> 1, I'jaiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 563, amending Ordinance No. 520, <br /> rezoning from the Agricultural District to the Commercial Freeway District <br /> that property described as Parcel 15, Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1100, <br /> containing approximately 1.37 acres, and bounded by Santa Rita and Tassa- <br /> jara Roads. <br /> <br /> 2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 563. <br /> <br /> 3. ~aiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 564, amending Ordinance No. 520, <br /> rezoning from the Agricultural District to the R-1-20,O00 Single Family <br /> Residence District, that property described as Parcel 4, Block 4045, <br /> Assessor's Map Book 946, containing approximately 3.44 acres, and located <br /> on the west side of Foothill Road, south of Bernal Avenue and north of <br /> Castlewood Drive. <br /> <br /> 4. Adoption of Ordinance No. 564. <br /> <br /> 5. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 565, applying final zoning to allow <br /> construction of single-family homes as noted under preliminary development <br /> plans labeled "Garden Court Homes", to be located in an R-2 District generally <br /> situated easterly of Hopyard Road. and northerly of Black Avenue. <br /> <br /> 6 Adoption of Ordinance No. 565. <br /> <br />--- 7.
