MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California August 4, 1969 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG ~Iayor Bernard Getton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting to order at 8:00 I'~M.~ and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Councilmen Beratlis and Rega were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. CamDbell, Director of Public lqorks, and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, and Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, were absent. AG/NDA A~NDMENTS Mr. Fales requested that time be granted after the Consent Calendar had been heard to allow a representative from the Industrial Committee of tile Chamber of Commerce So present a brochure to the Council. May,:,r Getton requested that further consideration of the Report of the City Co:~DCil Citizens Advisory Committee on Human Relations be heard on August 18th ~ order to allow discussion from a full City Council. C~NSENT CALENDAR it ~as moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that t~e folluwing items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: 1, I'jaiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 563, amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning from the Agricultural District to the Commercial Freeway District that property described as Parcel 15, Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1100, containing approximately 1.37 acres, and bounded by Santa Rita and Tassa- jara Roads. 2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 563. 3. ~aiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 564, amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning from the Agricultural District to the R-1-20,O00 Single Family Residence District, that property described as Parcel 4, Block 4045, Assessor's Map Book 946, containing approximately 3.44 acres, and located on the west side of Foothill Road, south of Bernal Avenue and north of Castlewood Drive. 4. Adoption of Ordinance No. 564. 5. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 565, applying final zoning to allow construction of single-family homes as noted under preliminary development plans labeled "Garden Court Homes", to be located in an R-2 District generally situated easterly of Hopyard Road. and northerly of Black Avenue. 6 Adoption of Ordinance No. 565. --- 7.
