<br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG
<br /> Mayor Bernard Gerton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order
<br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br />ROLL CALL
<br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present.
<br />Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City
<br />Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of
<br />Planning, were present.

<br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> There were no amendments to the agenda.
<br />
<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos
<br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved:
<br />
<br />1. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 561, amending Ordinance No. 520,
<br /> rezoning from the Commercial Freeway District to the Commercial Service
<br /> District that property located on the west side of Santa Rita Road
<br /> approximately 237 feet north of the Arroyo del Valle, known as 915 Santa
<br /> Rita Road, and containing approximately .63 acres.
<br />
<br />2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 561.
<br />
<br />3. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-165, authorizins progress payment No. 1 in the
<br /> amount of $7,500.00 be paid to Teichert and Sons for construction completed
<br /> on Adams Court Extension.
<br />
<br />4. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-166, authorizing progress payment No. 1, in the
<br /> amount of $27,500.00, to be paid to Teichert and Sons for construction com-
<br /> pleted on the Sunol Boulevard construction and repaying project.
<br />
<br />5. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-167, authorizing progress payment No. 9, in the
<br /> amount of $17,370.00, to be paid to Western Empire Construction Company for
<br /> construction completed on the Pleasanton Main Fire Station.
<br />
<br />6. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-168, accepting the Grant Deed for a public
<br /> service easement from Reynold C. Johnson.
<br />
<br />7.Approving the City Council Minutes for the meetings of June 2nd, 9th, 23rd
<br /> and 30th, 1969.
<br />

<br />Appeal of the Shell O~ Co~., 235 West MacArthur B~vd.~ Oakland~ from a decision of

<br />Z0~ng Permit fo~ the construction. O~ an automobile service station at 5251 Hop-.

<br />Zoning Permit
<br /> Mr. Fales reported that he had received a letter from Mr. Per Perry, Real
<br />Estate Representative for Shell Oil Company, dated July 9, 1969, which requested
<br />that the public hearing on this matter be continued on October 20, 1969.
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the
<br />public hearin~ on the appeal of Shell Oil Company be continued to October 20, 1969.
