REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER _Report Re: ~oma Alta _Park Mr. Fales reviewed the situation existing at Loma Alta Park, as submitted by the Senior Engineering Technician, dated May 11, 1970. Mr. Fales stated that the City has not accepted the park and will not do so until these conditions have been correc ted. It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the City Manager send a letter to the developer requesting that this park be completed as soon as possible in order that the City can assume responsibility and make payment on The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilman Beratlfs, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid. Mr. Castro displayed maps and explained the precise site plan of this proposed development. Hr. Castro also explained that the annexation proceedings invol- ving this property were completed in April, 1963 with the zoning approved at that time. Mr. Castro stated that the Planning Canmission reviewed ~his matter in December, 1969. Mayor Reid asked Mr. Hirst to determine Just what control the City can exercise in the development within Annexation No. 21 where there is established zoning. Mr. Hirst stated that he doubted if the subject multiple zoning could be changed but he would investigate the possibility of a change for the other poropertieso Presentation of the 1969-1970 through 1974-1975 Capital Improvement Program Mr. Fales presented the 1969-1970 through 1974-1975 Capital Improvement Program. He stated that this program would be discussed at a later time. Matters for the Information of the Council Mr. Fales s~ated that a copy of a letter from Mro Robert Ryan regarding the Greyhound Bus service from Pleasanton to San Francisco during the week-ends, had been forwarded to the Council for their information. Mr. Fales also stated that a copy of a letter from Mro Stuart McCaormick regarding a study of the Ntles Canyon Area to be considered as a park and recreation facility, had been forwarded to the Council. Mr. Fales was asked to re£er this letter to the Pleasanton Recreation and Parks ConInission. REPORTS C~ THE CITY ATTORNEY This report was not discussed. COMMUNICATIONS There were no cormmanication8 presented at this meeting. MATTERS INITIA~ED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilmen Beratlis suggested that a commendation to Mr. Gene Rega be made for his services on the City Council. He also suggested that Planning Commissioners Antonini and Gibbs be formally con~nended for their services. Mr. Fales replied that these matters will be artended to. Councilman Beratlis also commended the City Staff for their effort in providing an employee to issue citations for over-parking of cars on Main Street. He stated that there was a remarkable improvement in the parking problem. Mr. Robert Steffenauer asked permission to discuss this matter at this time. Having been granted permission, he stated that he didn't think it was right to give citations for over-parking at 10:00 A.M. when there were no other cars parked on Main Street. He stated that he had a dozen over-parking citations from repairman and customers at his place of business.
