<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG
<br /> Mayor Bernard Getton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council
<br /> to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br />ROLL CALL
<br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid and Mayor Gerton were present. Councilman
<br />Spiliotopoulos was absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City
<br />Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and
<br />Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present.

<br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Fales stated that the Director of Public Works has requested that item 4-a
<br /> on the Consent Calendar be amended to include three conditions as outlined in his
<br /> supplemental report, dated March 2, 1970.
<br /> Mr. Fales also stated that he had received a request by telephone from Mr.
<br />Herman Ruth, on behalf of Mr. Phil Davidson, to postpone the Public Hearing
<br />scheduled for this meeting, to March 16, 1970. Mayor Gerton stated that Mr.
<br />Ruth's request will be considered under Public Hearings.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Reid that the
<br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended:
<br />
<br /> a. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-31, approving the time extension for subdivision
<br /> improvements for Tract No. 2860, Pleasanton Valley, until May 15, 1971, subject
<br /> to the following conditions:
<br /> 1) That Valley Avenue street improvements for Tract 2860 be completed at the
<br /> same time that the City completes the south side of Valley Avenue in the
<br /> area of Tract No. 2860.
<br /> 2) That street lights for that particular part of Valley Avenue be completed
<br /> at the same time that the City completes the south side of Valley Avenue
<br /> in the area of Tract No. 2860.
<br /> 3) That the work necessary to protect the sanitary sewer system be completed
<br /> as directed by the City Engineer no later than March 6, 1970, and that the
<br /> sewer system be protected until Tract 2860 is completed.
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-32, accepting an easement from the Pleasanton
<br /> Joint School District to install a water main connecting Well No. 5 to the new
<br /> pump station.
<br />
<br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-33, authorizing progress Payment No. 14, in the
<br /> amount of $930.80 to Western Empire Construction Company for work completed on
<br /> the Pleasanton Main Fire Station.
<br />
<br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-34, granting a time extension to March 12, 1971,
<br /> to Falender Homes, Inc., on their Tentative Subdivision Map on Tract No. 3102.
<br />
<br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-35, approving a time extension to March 31, 1970,
<br /> to Gil Construction Company, for completion of the Santa Rita Pump Station.
<br />
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:
<br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid and Mayor Gerton
<br />NOES: None
<br />ABSENT: Councilman Spiliotopoulos
