It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Reid that the read- <br /> ing of Ordinance No. 589, amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning from the <br /> (Agricultural) District to the RM-4000 (Multiple Family) District, that parcel <br /> described as Parcel 14-4, Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1250, also known as 3153 <br /> Vineyard Avenue and containing approximately 21 acres, be waived. <br /> The roll call vote was as fol!qws: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Rega, Reid, Spilioropoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAINED:Councilman Beratlis <br /> <br /> ~opt+on Of Or~: No. 589 <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that <br /> Ordinance No. 589, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: Councilman Rega <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAINED:Councilman Beratlis <br /> <br /> Councilman Beratlis stated that he abstained from voting because of his being <br /> the real estate broker for the property owner. <br /> <br /> Councilman Rega stated that he voted against this rezoning because he felt thst <br /> it was not a proper land use. <br /> <br />{.) SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no special reports scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br /> _REP__QRTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> A_3_Dn~val of Lease Renewal for the Fire Station_in Highland Oaks <br /> __ Mr. Fales stated that the proposed new lease agreement has been increased from <br /> $215.00 to $250.00 per month. Mr. Fales reported that this lease is for a two <br /> year period. He stated that this increase was in keeping with the increase in <br /> the cost of rentals in the City, and recommended approval of this lease. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that <br /> Resolution No. 70-16, authorizing the execution of the Lease Renewal Agreement <br /> between Schulte-Blackwell Development Company and the City of Pleasanton for the <br /> Fire Station in the Highland Oaks Development, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote wasas follows: <br /> AYE, S: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br /> NOES: None <br /> A~SENT: None <br /> <br /> R._e. ports of the Director of Public Works Re: Proposed New Traffic Ordinance <br /> 1,ir. Fales proposed that this item be postponed for one week in order to allow <br /> the City Council sufficient time to review and study the report. <br /> Mayor Getton concurred and asked that it be placed on the agenda on February 2, <br /> 1970. <br /> <br /> Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Fales stated that a copy of a reminder from the City Clerk that ballots are <br /> due for officers of the Association of Bay Area Governments immediately. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fales stated that he has forwarded to the City Council, copies of televent <br /> material regarding the construction of a new bridge across the San Francisco Bay. <br /> -- Mr. Fales also stated that this material contains a resolution of the City of <br /> Livermore recommending delay in the construction of a new bridge until after the <br /> Bay Area Rapid Transit Systems becomes operative and the need of a new bridge can <br /> again be analyzed. <br /> <br /> 14r. Fales stated that he has also forwarded a copy of a letter from Mr. William <br /> Parhess, City Manager of Livemore, to the Alameda County Comprehensive Health <br /> P].an?~]n~ Council, responding to the action taken as transmitted in the Minutes of <br /> the ;!scember 17, 1969, meeting of this Health Planning Council. <br /> <br /> e <br /> <br /> <br />
