437 MINXtEES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California January 12, 1970 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG Mayor Bernard Getton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Council- man Reid was absent. Mr, Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr, Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. AGENDAAMENDMENTS There were no amendments to the agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-8, approving the Reimbursement Agreement with Schulte-Blackwell regarding a 12" Water Line constructed in Foothill Road. b. Approval of the December 1st, 8th, and 15th, 1969, Minutes of the City Council meetings. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Reid PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of ~h~ Planning.Commission for an amendment to Section 2.100, Ord~_Mq% 520, in order to establish R-i-3000, R-~-4000, and R-1-50OO Districts.~ to be applicable. o.nXy when used_in_con]unction with the Planned Unit Development_D+~tri~t Mr. Fales requested that this matter be referred back to the Planning Commis- sion as there are a number of items which should be clarified and completed before discussion at the City Council level. It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the application of the Planning Commission for an amendment to Section 2.100, Ordinance No. 520, be referred back to that Conmaission for clarification and com- pletion. B~.gq.k 3032, located .~mmediately east of Sunol Blvd., and fronting o~ Arlington Dr~ve, said proper~y cgntaini~g appr0x. 2.67 acres Councilman Rega suggested that this public hearing be postponed until a~ter the joint meeting with the City Council and the citizens who filed a petition at the meeting of January 5th regarding the rezoning from single family residence to a higher density, could be held. Mr. Fales stated that this meeting has been scheduled for February 16th. It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the public hearing on the appeal of Mr. Herman Ruth from an adverse decision of the Planning Commission to fezone from the R-1 District to the P.U.D. District, be postponed until the City Council meeting of February 23, 1970.
