MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> Of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> November 2,197Q <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO F.~AG <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council to order at 8~00 P,M~ and then led the pledge of allegiance <br />to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />City Clerk Helen McCarty Called ~he ~o1~ which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Getton Pearson, SpiliotopQulos and Mayor Reid <br />were present. Mr' Fales, C~ty"Manager, Mr, Edgar, Assistant City <br />Manager Mr HirSt, City Attor~ey~ Mr, Campbell, Director of Public <br />Works and Mr. CaStro, Director of Plan~ing, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />There were no amendments to the agenda, <br /> <br />Mayor Reid accepted the Pedestrian Safety Achievement Award for 1969 <br />which was presented by the' Am~riUan AUtQmobile Association.' <br /> <br />Mayor Reid took this opportunity to commend City Manager James Fales <br />for his 10 years of Service to the ~ity and presented him with a pen <br />set. Mayor Reid included in his commendation that the City of <br />Pleasanton is most fortunate in having the greatest City Manager in <br />the State of California. Several former Mayors and Councilmen who <br />were in the audience~ made similar remarks of praise to Mr. Fales. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Ger~on and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br />that the following items lis~e~ on the C~nsent Calendar, be approved. <br /> <br /> a. Accepting the Audit for the 19~9-1970 Fiscal Year. <br /> <br /> b.
