He also stated that he had for,,zarded a <br /> copy of Alameda County's "Plan for Land Use Control in Free~-zay Inter- <br /> change Areas Routes 580 and 680 in Southeast Alameda County" to the <br /> Council and that discussion regarding this matter had been held at the <br /> last meeting. <br /> <br /> Discussion continued regarding th~ proposed development.-Plans'to <br /> include a motel with ~e proposed service station and restraurant were <br /> also discussed. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stated that the City should have more control over the <br /> timing of developments in order to make sure that the entire proposed <br /> development is constructed uithin a reasonable length of time. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hirst advised ~e Council ~qat the City could not enforce a time <br /> limit on the developer so that a r. otel and a restraurLnt ~.zould be <br /> built concurrently with the service station. <br /> <br /> After additional discussion, ]-%ayor Reid stated that he was not in <br /> favor of this rezoninc until a commitment for a motel was secured by <br /> the developer. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Getton and seconded bv Councilman Beratlis <br /> that Ordinance 11o. 613, ~?.endinc Ordin~ce 11o: 5~0', rezoninc from the <br /> General Industry 3ac.
