t:j,3 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE ~ETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> July 27, 1970 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert"'~id called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag, <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Getton, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Councilman <br />Spiliotopoulos was absent. Mr, Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City <br />Manager, and Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, were present. Mr. Campbell, Director of <br />Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were absent. <br /> <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos Joined the meeting at 8:05 P.M. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> There were no amendments to the agenda. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Getton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-167, approving Final Subdivision Map; and <br /> Improvement Plans; Tract No. 3173; Oakhill, Unit No. 2. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-168, accepting the public improvements within <br /> Tract 2837, Garden Court Homes. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-169, accepting the grant deed and approving <br /> right-of-way contract regarding the property of E. E. Orloff on the south <br /> side of Valley Avenue. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-170, approving the plans and specifications, <br /> and calling for bids to be submitted regarding the Valley Avenue construction <br /> project, Project No. 70-3, and establishing the bid opening date as 2:00 P.M,, <br /> August 17, 1970o <br /> <br /> e. Waiving the reading of Ord. No. 606, amending Section 7.102, Ord. No. 520, <br /> expanding and changing permitted and conditional uses in Commercial Zoning <br /> Districts. <br /> <br /> f. Adoption of Ord. No. 606~ <br /> <br />g. Scheduling the public hearing of the appeal of Morrison Homes, 470 27th St., <br /> Oakland, from an adverse decision of the planning Commission in denying an <br /> application for approval of a tentative planned unit development plan, under <br /> the appropriate sections of Ord. No. 520, for that property located east of <br /> Santa Rita Road, north of the Kaiser private road, south of Mohr Avenue, and <br /> west of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, and containing approximately <br /> 94 acres, for August 90, 1970. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Getton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENI': None <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting~ <br /> F~T_T.FaRS' CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Discussion Re: ABAG.G~n~ral Pla~ <br /> Mayor Reid stated a decision should be reached this Thursday evening, july 30~ <br /> 1970. at the ABAG General Assembly, regarding the Regional Plan, which effects <br /> appl~cations for Federal grants submitted by any of the nine counties represented <br /> by ABAG in the Bay Area, and urged approval of this concept. <br /> <br /> <br />
