~IATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION Further discussion regarding A.B. 121, Tenant representation on Hous- i..ng Authority Boards. Mr. Fales stated that the Pleasanton Housing Authority has withdrawn their opposition to A.B. 121 and therefore, no longer seeks the sup- port of the City Council in opposing this bill. Application of Dr. E.W. Schlies tO rezone from the Agricultural Dis- trict to the Office '~istrict that property de'S'cribed as Parcel 4, B10C'k 1151, Alameda County ASses~0r's Map Book 946, containing app- '~0~'imately 15.69" acres, more Commonly known as the' northeas'[ ~orner of S'an't'a Rita Road and Mohr Avenue.' Mr. Fales reported that a meeting between the staff and the applicant was held on April 27, 1971 and the applicant was desirous that the maximum of 5 net acres of the 15.69 acres, be rezoned to the Office District for his proposed medical facility and the remainder of the parcel be zoned to the Public and Institutional District. After considering the recommendation of the staff, it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the follow- ing action be taken. 1. The rezoning application of Dr. Schilies be referred back to the Planning Commission with the specific indication that said application should be atomended to indicate that no more than 5 acres of the subject property be rezoned to the Office Dist- rict, with the remainder 0f the parcel zoned to the Public and Institutional District and that these 5 acres be zoned with the specific understanding that they will be used for the dev- elopment of a medical office complex. 2. That the Planning Commission also initiate action to rezone a parcel adjacent to the subject parcel, owned by the Holly Sugar Company and consisting of approximately 3 acres, from the Agricultural District to the Public and Institutional Dis- trict at the earliest possible time. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and NOES: None Mayor Reid. ABSENT: NOne * Councilman Spiliotopoulos joined the meeting at 8:35 P.M.
