MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> TIlE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> April 19, 1971 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG <br /> <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Itelen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br /> were present. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City <br /> Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public <br /> Works and Mr. Aiello, Acting Director of Planning, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA A~ENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Fales stated that he had received word from the Housing Authority <br /> requesting that the matter of AB 121, listed under item 6-c on the <br /> agenda, be deleted and considered at the next Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid asked that item 4-c, regarding the temporary location of <br /> the library, be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered <br /> separately. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid also asked that, upon request from the attorney represent- <br /> ing the Foothill Road residents, that the matter of the Foothill Road <br /> rezoning, item 8-a, be heard immediately after the approval of the <br /> Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Claim warrants in the amount of $115,838.86 for March, 1971. <br /> <br /> b. Setting the public hearing for May 3, 1971, on the considera- <br /> tion of protests regarding weed abatement proceedings. <br /> <br /> The roll call,-vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br /> NOES: None Mayor Reid. <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> RepQrt of the Plannin~ Commission Re: Cit~'Council Referral re~ard- <br /> in~ the modification of the multip"le portlon of the Foothill Road <br /> rez.o. nin~from the RM-2500 to the I~4-4000 District. <br /> <br />Mr. Aiello reviewed his report, dated April 16, 1971, which stated <br />that at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission on April 13, <br />1971, the Planning Commission considered the referral of the City <br />Council regarding the City Council's intention to assign RM-4000 <br />zoning to the 10.65 acres in lieu of the Planning Commission's rec- <br />ommendation that this parcel be zoned P~I-2500. <br /> <br /> <br />
