The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliot. opolous <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Pearson <br />that Resolution No. 71-78, approving and authorizing the execution of <br />a Cooperation Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasan- <br />ton Housing Authority regarding low rent public housing, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos <br /> <br />r~ATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br />Waive reading of Ordinance No. 625, reZonin~ from the RM-4000 Multiple <br />DistriCt to the Public and i'n'stitutional District that "property des- <br />cribea aS.. a. portion of Parcel 25, ASsessor' s Map" Book 99, Page 19, <br />COntaining 1.63 acres. <br /> <br />~doption of Ordinance No. 625 <br /> <br />Mr.1 Hirst advised the Council to postpone this matter until a full <br />council was present as it would require three affirmative votes to <br />a~Opt this ordinance. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> <br />Mr. Fales requested authorization to demolish two old structures on the <br />Amador V~lley Community Park at a cost of $1,868.00. Mr. Fales <br />stated that this expenditure would be Charged to the Park Bond Fund. <br /> <br />Afetr some discussion~ it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded <br />by Councilman. OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />Reports of the City Manager and the Director of Public Works Re: <br />Traffic on Valley. Av~n'~e " <br /> <br />Mr. Fales reviewed his report, dated April 5 1971 which outlined some <br /> , , <br />seven suggestions regarding the traffic situation and pedestrian safety <br />in crossing Valley Avenue in the vacinity of Harvest .Park School. <br /> <br />Mrs. JOyce Le Claire, 2427 Raven Road, Mrs. Marilyn Neithammer, 5026 <br />Blackbird Way and Mrs. Jndi Haney, 4916 Canary Drive, each spoke on <br />the hazzards encountered by the school children crossing Valley Avenue. <br />They agreed that the crossing guard, the portable school crossing s}~ns <br />and traffic islands which have been installed have helped the pedest- <br />rians, but the speed of the motorists on Valley Avenue continues to be <br />a safety hazzard. <br /> <br /> 2. 4-12-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
