MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California December 20, 1971 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, were present. Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, was absent. AGENDA AMENDMENTS There were no amendments to the agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be app rove d: a. November Claim warrants in the amount of $141,736.40o b. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-247, approving the specifications and calling for bids 'on the Amador Park Turfing project. c. Setting the Public ~earing on January 3, 1971 on the applica- tion of H.C. Elliott to rezone the RM-4000 Multiple area to the R-1-6500 located within the Diller-Granada property of Tract No. 3161. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-248, approving the Agreement for Completion of Improvement work with The Marienda Investment Company. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and NOES: None Mayor Reid ABSENT: None PUBLIC HEARINGS Appealof J.W.F. Parrish from an adverse decision of the Pla.nn. in~ Comm- ission Re: Prop..osed signs relating. to Bui.ld['n9. 5, Pleasanton Shopping Center, Hopy. ar~ Road and Val.1..ey Avenue, Job No. 7030A. Mr. Edgar reported that this appeal has been resolved at Planning Comm- ission level and recommended that the City Council dismiss this matter formal ly.
