Review of bids and award of contract Re: valley. Avenue improvements, .Project 71-7 Mr. Edgar reported that bids had been received on the Valley .Avenue Improvement Project 71-7 and recommended that the contract be let to the low bidder, Les McDonald Construction Company, in the amount of $45,253.88. It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Pearson that Resolution No. 71-246, awarding the contract to Les McDonald Construction Company for Valley Avenue Improvements Project 71-7 in the amount of $45,253.88, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos ~atters for the information of the council Mr. Edgar advised the Council that he had received a memorandum from the City's Administrative Assisstant, dated December 9, 1971, regard- ing SACEOA Formation of a Valley-wide Senate. It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Gerton that this matter be referred to the Community Concerns Committee to formulate.
