Said property t.o'be the balance of Tract No. 3165 or more <br />commonly kno~..~n as the southwesterly corner of the Pleasanton Canal <br />and Hopyard Roa~.... contai.nin.~...ap..proxlmately a total of 238.6 acres. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearin~ open. <br /> <br />Mr. Aiello displayed maps of the subject Tract and revie,.~,ed the re- <br />port of the Director of Community Development, dated ,qeD~:ember i, <br />1971. Mr. Aiello also reviewred the Planning Commission's Resolution <br />No. 1113 v~hich recommended to the City Council that RZ-71-7 be <br />approved subject to the follo~.~inq condition: <br /> <br /> 1. That in grantin~ the final zoning, the final map a:~proval <br /> shall be authorized by the City Council for units 13,14 and <br /> 19 to be approved no later than prior to November, 1971 and <br /> thatthe c!evelo~er and the City shall begin negotiations on a <br /> prod. ram that would phase out the balance of said devei~LoDment. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar listed the advantages of approving the MacKay application, <br />namely, t:vo school sites, one Dark site and the completion of Valley <br />Avenue to the Pleasanton Canal. Mr. Edgar explaineel that of the <br />total 216 dwelling units proposed for this portion. of De?.
