MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California November 8, 1971 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG MayOr Pobert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Comm- unity Development, were present. There were no amendments to the Agenda. CON SENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded b~ Councilman Beratlis that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 645, Re: Ordinance eff- ecting modifications in the Uniform Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Codes in order to accomodate local conditions and adopting the 1970 Housing Code and the 1971 National Electrical Code. b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 645. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-223, accepting a Grant Deed from Kaiser-Aetna, Parcel Map 674, for public service ease- ment. d. Acceptance of the 1970-71 City Audit. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-224, approving the Plans and Specifications for Valley Avenue Improvements, Project No. 71-7, and authorization to advertise for bids.
