MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> October 18, 1971. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led. the pledge of allegiance <br />to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />City Clerk Helen .McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were <br />present. *Councilman Gerton was absent. Mr. Edgar, City. Manager, Mr. <br />Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services and <br />Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. Mr. <br />Campbell, Director of Public Works, was absent. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar requested that item e be added to City Manager Reports as he <br />had several items of information to report to the Council. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and Seconded by Councilman <br />Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be <br />app rove d: <br /> <br /> a. Payment of September Claim Warrants in the amount of <br /> $272,508.97. <br /> <br /> b. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-204, authorizing the participa- <br /> tion in the Federal Emergency Employment Act of 1971. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-205, authorizing Progress Pay- <br /> ment No. 2, in the amount of $6,691.52, be paid to Floway <br /> Pumps, Inc. for improvements on Well Nos. 5 and 7. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-206, accepting a. Quitclaim Deed <br /> for Calle Morelia Street opening. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-207, approving, Licemse~ grant- <br /> ing City right of use regarding Hopyard Footbridge. <br /> <br /> f. Setting the public hearing on November 8, 1971 on the appli- <br /> cation of Holly Sugar to rezone from the Agricultural District <br /> to the Public and Institutional District that property des- <br /> cribed as Parcel 5, Block 1151, Book 946 of the Alameda <br /> County Assessor's Office, property located paralleling the <br /> south side of the Southern Pacific Railroad in the' vacinity <br /> of the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue and <br /> containing approximately 3.78 acres. <br /> <br />The roll. call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Gerton <br /> <br /> <br />
