MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL. Pleasanton, California September 20, 1971 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG Vice-Mayor George Spiliotopoulos called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Vice-Mayor Spiliotopoulos were present. Councilman Beratlis and Mayor Reid were absent. Mr. Edaar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS There were no amendments to the agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: a. August, 1971, Claim Warrants in the amount of $112,138'.62. b. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 639, regarding the appli- cation to rezone from the R-1-6500 Single Family District to the RM-2500 Multiple District that property described as a portion of Parcel 4, Block 60, Alameda County Assessor's Map Book No. 94, containing approximately 3.3 acres and more commonly known as a portion of the Kottinger Village Housing Complex. c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 639. d. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 640, regarding an addition of Chapter 10, relating to the preservation of trees on private property, to Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton. e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 640. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-191, approving theI plans and specifi- cations for Bernal Avenue Realignment Project and authorize the city staff to advertise for bids. g. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-192, approving the Final Map and Improvement plans for Tract No. 3254, Pleasanton Valley, Init No. 17. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Vice-Mayor Spiliotopoulos NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Beratlis and Mayor Reid
