pursuant to the regulation of the rate of gro~,qth so as not to <br /> place undue strain on the capacity of one or more of those agencies <br /> to render its proper public service. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, PeaL-son, Spiliotopoulos and <br /> NOES: None Mayor Reid <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Both Warren Harding and John Long stated that they were pleased to <br /> see the effort the City Council was making to bring the various <br /> factions in the City, together. <br /> <br /> Councilman Gerton also initiated discussion regarding the instit- <br /> ution of a general plan review committee that would place particular <br /> emphasis on the residential holding capacity of the Valley, the <br /> overall goals for development, prevention of "urban sprawl" and <br /> review of the park and recreational program. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stated that these items will be considered at a Study <br /> Session. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN 'TO 'THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Theodore Meyers complained about the construction of homes in <br /> the Stoneson Tract. He stated that he wouls like to see the <br /> Planning Commission re-analize their requirements for tract devel- <br /> opment. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Robert Moore, 3548 Glacier Court, asked Mr. Hirst if he was <br /> aware of the law prohibiting the trapping of cats for a period over <br /> 12 hours. Mr. Hirst stated that he was aware of this fact. <br /> <br /> Mr. George Kachen, Jr., 419 Bonita Avenue, asked if the Cities of <br /> Pleasanton and Livermore could work together to construct a <br /> bicycle path along Stanley Boulevard in order that citizens may <br /> .cycle safely to the Shadow Cliff Park. <br /> <br /> Councilman Gerton stated that this matter will be considered at the <br /> time the General Plan is reviewed. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT ,-,.~- <br /> <br /> .There being no further business at 10:25 P.M., it was moved by <br />· Councilman .
