REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Amendment of Ordinance No. 426 Mr. Edgar. read the report of the Recreation and Parks Commission, dated July 29, 1971. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Council- man Beratlis that Ordinance No. 635, amending Ordinance No. 426, changing the name of the Recreation and Parks Commission to the Parks and Recreation Commission, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and NOES: None Mayor Reid ABSENT: None Traffic Hazards on Hopyard Road ........... Mr. Edgar reviewed the report of the Parks and Recreation Commission, dated July29, 1971, and their ResolutiOn No. R-71-16, dated July 15, 1971. Mr. Campbell explained the areas that had no pedestrian or bicycle trails. After some discussion of this matter, it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Mayor Reid that Resolution No. 71-160, Reapproving the Hopyard Road paving, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and NOES: None Mayor Reid ABSENT: None REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER There were no reports of the City Manager. Matters for the information of the Council Mr. Edgar suggested that due to vacations and the general slow-down of Commissions and City Council business, that no City Council Meetings be held on August 9th and 23rd, nor on September 6th. The Council agreed to this schedule. REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY Proposed Vicious Dog Ordinance The staff was instructed to set a public hearing date on this proposed ordinance. COMMUNICATIONS a. From Wm. H. Fraley, Planning Director, Alameda County, re: Public Hearing to consider and establish planning boundaries for the area about the Livermore Municipal Airport. b. From W. A. Anderson, 6506 Inglewood Drive!, Re: Gasoline Service Stations. Mr. Edgard stated that the above communications were forwarded to the Council for their information. 4. 8-2-71
