REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> Amendment of Ordinance No. 426 <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar. read the report of the Recreation and Parks Commission, <br /> dated July 29, 1971. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Council- <br />man Beratlis that Ordinance No. 635, amending Ordinance No. 426, <br />changing the name of the Recreation and Parks Commission to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission, be introduced. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Traffic Hazards on Hopyard Road ........... <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reviewed the report of the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />dated July29, 1971, and their ResolutiOn No. R-71-16, dated July <br />15, 1971. <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell explained the areas that had no pedestrian or bicycle <br />trails. <br /> <br />After some discussion of this matter, it was moved by Councilman <br />Gerton and seconded by Mayor Reid that Resolution No. 71-160, <br />Reapproving the Hopyard Road paving, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />There were no reports of the City Manager. <br /> <br />Matters for the information of the Council <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar suggested that due to vacations and the general slow-down <br />of Commissions and City Council business, that no City Council <br />Meetings be held on August 9th and 23rd, nor on September 6th. <br /> <br />The Council agreed to this schedule. <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Proposed Vicious Dog Ordinance <br /> <br />The staff was instructed to set a public hearing date on this <br />proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> a. From Wm. H. Fraley, Planning Director, Alameda County, <br /> re: Public Hearing to consider and establish planning <br /> boundaries for the area about the Livermore Municipal <br /> Airport. <br /> <br /> b. From W. A.
