Mayor Reid explained that the Executive Committee of A.B.A.G., <br />without consulting the A.B.A.G. Membership, recently approved an <br />amendment to AB-1057, whereby the make-up of the governing board <br />of a COnservation and Development Agency for the San Francisco Bay <br />Area would be changed so as to include members other than elected <br />officials of cities and counties within the boundaries of the <br />agency. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid further explained that the board would consist of 83 mem- <br />bers, 40 of which would be appointed from mayors, councilmen andTM <br />supervisors of cities and counties, 40 which would be elected and <br />3 which would be appointed from boards of special purpose districts <br />within the boundaries of the agency. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion on this matter, it was moved by <br />Councilman Getton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Res- <br />olution No. 71-155, disapproving of the recent action taken by the <br />Executive Committee of A.B.A.G., be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor <br />NOES: None Reid <br />ABSENT: "CoUncilman Pearson <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION RE: PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION REGARDING A FINANCING <br />PLAN FOR'SEWERIMPROVEMENTS AND CIVIC CENTER CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />Mayor Reid recesSed'~he meeting'to'a study Session at 8:20 P.M. <br />MayOr'Reid reconvened the meeting at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There being no further business at 10:02 P.M., it was. moved by <br />'Mayor Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the meeting <br />be adjourned in memory of Jack Pous to meet again in Adjourned <br />Regular Session at 8:00 P.M. on August 2, 1971. <br /> <br />The rollcall vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Getton, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor <br />NOES: None Reid <br />ABSENT: Councilman Pearson <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ROBERT I.
