Mayor Reid explained that the Executive Committee of A.B.A.G., without consulting the A.B.A.G. Membership, recently approved an amendment to AB-1057, whereby the make-up of the governing board of a COnservation and Development Agency for the San Francisco Bay Area would be changed so as to include members other than elected officials of cities and counties within the boundaries of the agency. Mayor Reid further explained that the board would consist of 83 mem- bers, 40 of which would be appointed from mayors, councilmen andTM supervisors of cities and counties, 40 which would be elected and 3 which would be appointed from boards of special purpose districts within the boundaries of the agency. After considerable discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman Getton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Res- olution No. 71-155, disapproving of the recent action taken by the Executive Committee of A.B.A.G., be adopted.
