Mr. Campbell reviewed his report, dated July 9, 1971. Mro Edgar <br />explained a financing plan for the sewer improvements as outlined <br />in Mr. Campbell's report. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilman Gerton <br />and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that Resolution No. <br />71-140, approving the report of the Director of Public Works, <br />dated July 9, 1971 regarding an interim expansion of the Pleasanton <br />Sewage Treatment Plant irrigation capacity, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Spiliotopoulos andMayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Council- <br />man Gerton that Ordinance No. 634, imposing a surcharge on the <br />connection fees paid by developments tributary to the City Sewage <br />Treatment Plant which would be utilized to repay the funds necess- <br />ary to expend the effluent disposal fields on an interim basis, be <br />introduced. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Council- <br />man Gerton that the appropriate City Officers be authorized to <br />execute an agreement with the developers regarding the surcharge <br />as outlined in Ordinance No. 634. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />The'Council commended the staff for their efforts in this proposal <br />for the temporary alleviation of the pressure placed upon the <br />Sewer Treatment Facility. <br /> <br />Matters for the information of the Council <br /> <br />There were no matters for the information of the Council. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Report Re: Confirmation of Costs Regarding the Weed Abatement <br />program <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst reviewed his report, dated July 8, 1971. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman <br />Gerton that Resolution No. 71-141, relating to the confirmation <br />of costs regarding the weed aba~e~ent program for 1970-71, be <br />adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 7. 7-12-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
