Approval of Final Map and Improvement Plans~ Tract No. 3312, Val <br /> Vista, Unit No. 7. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson initiated discussion regarding the close prox- <br /> imity'of'this tract to the V.C.S.D. Sewer Plant. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion on this matter, it was moved by Council- <br />man Gerton and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the staff <br />schedule a joint study session between the City Council and the <br />V.C.S.D. Board of Directors prior to July 26th, in order that the <br />proximity of Tract No. 3312 to the V.C.S.D. treatment plant and the <br />possible problems resulting there-from, may be discussed in more <br />detail. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Adoption of the 197~.~.72 City of Pleasanton Budget <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, it was moved by Councilman <br />Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the public hearing <br />be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was then moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman <br />Spiliotopoulos that Resolution No. 71-136, approving the proposed <br />1971-721Budget for operating purposes, as presented, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to rezone from the A~ricul- <br />ture District to the Pub~i~ and Institut'~'onal D~'strict, a parcel <br />6f property l~cated east of Santa Rita Road, north of Mohr Avenue, <br />and immediatel~ adjacent on the south to the Southern Pacific Rail- <br />road right'-of"-way, ~ned by the ~olly Sugar Corporation and con- <br />tainin~ app~0.ximatel~ 4 acres. 1 . <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Mr. John Corley, attorney representing the Holly Sugar Corporation <br />stated that they desired more time to discuss the future use of their <br />property with the Planning Commission and Planning Staff. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Spilio- <br />topoulos that the public hearing be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2. 7-12-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
