The Council decided to discuss <br /> th~S~. !m~I~ ~" "at"a" ~'A'~*~ "date'. <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY' MANAGER] <br /> <br /> Report Re: Emergenc~ Ambulance Services <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar reviewed the agreements for Advisory, Supervisory and Auditing' <br /> Services with respect to the Emergency Ambulance Services, which basic- <br /> ally establish the concept of the three valley agencies joining together <br /> to provide ambulance service with a private contractor and monitored by <br /> the Valley Memorial Hospital. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that on June 13, 1972, the Board of Supervisors <br />approved the concept and the agreements. which are somewhat different <br />than those originally authorized by the City so therefore, require <br />review and approval once again. He stated that the main changes in <br />the agreement benefit the City by a reduction in costs to the City Resi- <br />dents as well as the City of Pleasanton in the event that payment for <br />emergency service initiated by our Police and Fire Departments is re- <br />quired. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney <br />that Resolution No. 72-110, approving the Emergency Ambulance Services <br />Agreement, be adopted o <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney and Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Mori and Mayor Reid <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that memorandums from the Director of Parks and Recrea- <br />tion regarding --swimming pool operations and Registration - Proceedures <br />have-been forwarded to the City Council for their information. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />There were no reports from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />COMMUN I CAT I ON S <br /> <br />Letter from the Chamber of Commerce Re: Amendment to Service Station <br />Policy <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar read the above communication which requested that the City <br />Council consider the deletion of the 90 day vacancy period regarding <br />abandoned Service Stations as it discriminates against one property <br />usage as contrasted to all others. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding this matter. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Kinney and seconded by Councilman Herlihy <br />that the City Manager be authorized to writ.e a letter to the Chamber <br />of Commerce explaining the Planning Commission and City Council's <br />position policy on this matter. <br /> <br /> 3. 6-19-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
