MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> <br /> May 15, 1972 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance <br />to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid were present. <br />Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Dir- <br />ector of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Develop- <br />ment, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />There were no amendments to the agenda. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Herlihy <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Claims in the amount of $130,764.18, for the month of <br /> April, 1972. <br /> <br /> b. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-79, accepting the Grant <br /> Deed from ~.brrison Homes, Tract No. 2842, for Pedestrian <br /> Walk-way. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Report of the Planning Commission Re: Application of Lynnewood' Methodist <br />Church to rezone from the A~ricultural District to the Public ~nd <br />Institutional District, that property located west of the Pacific <br />Telephone Company property, with frontage on Black Avenue and contain- <br />ing approximately 2.64 acres. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open and asked for a staff re- <br />port. <br /> <br />Mr. Castro reviewed his report, dated May 2, 1972, and recommedned <br />approval of .application RZ-72-2, Lynnewood Medthodist Church. <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, it was moved by Councilman <br />Kinney and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the public hearing <br />be closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
