MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California May 15, 1972 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Dir- ector of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Develop- ment, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS There were no amendments to the agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Claims in the amount of $130,764.18, for the month of April, 1972. b. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-79, accepting the Grant Deed from ~.brrison Homes, Tract No. 2842, for Pedestrian Walk-way. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid NOES: None ABSENT: None PUBLIC HEARINGS Report of the Planning Commission Re: Application of Lynnewood' Methodist Church to rezone from the A~ricultural District to the Public ~nd Institutional District, that property located west of the Pacific Telephone Company property, with frontage on Black Avenue and contain- ing approximately 2.64 acres. Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open and asked for a staff re- port. Mr. Castro reviewed his report, dated May 2, 1972, and recommedned approval of .application RZ-72-2, Lynnewood Medthodist Church. There being no comments from the public, it was moved by Councilman Kinney and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the public hearing be closed.
