It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Kinney that <br />the reading of Ordinance No. 661, be waived. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report Re: Taxi Cab Rate Increase <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reviewed his report dated April 28, 1972, in which he recom- <br />mended that the existing taxi cab rates be increased as follows: <br /> <br /> Flag Drop: $ .60 per 1/6th mile <br /> Mileage Rates: $ .10 per 1/6th mile <br /> Traffic and Waiting Time: $6.00 per hour <br /> <br />After some discussion regarding "waiting time"', it was moved by Council- <br />man Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney that Resolution No. 72-68, <br />increasing the Taxi Cab Rates as recommended by the City r4anager in his <br />report of April 28, 1972, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen tIerlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />.Request f0. r the p~opert~ at 3683 Vineyard Avenue to be annexed to the <br />city of Pleasanton . . <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reviewed his report, dated April 28, 1972, as well as a sewer <br />facilities and pre-annexation agreement. In his report he stated that <br />at the present time this single family dwelling is located in the County <br />and is sewered by septic tank and since that property is not adjacent to <br />the City, the city is unable to annex it. <br /> <br />He recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of the <br />agreement with the following two modifidations: <br /> <br /> 1. That sewer connection and service be provided to the <br /> extent feasible by the City and that this agreement does <br /> not represent a guarentee of sewer service. <br /> <br /> 2. That in the event that the property owner decides not to <br /> annex to the City, sewer service would be discontinued. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell, owner of the property, in answer to the question posed <br />by the Council, agreed to both widen Vineyard Avenue to the right-of- <br />way and construct curb and gutters in front of his property. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Mori, <br />that Resolution No. 72-69, authorizing the City Officers to execute <br />the Sewer Facilities and Pre-Annexation Agreement with Mr. and Mrs. <br />James F.
