MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> December 18, 1972 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P~M~, and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. <br />Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public <br />Works, and Mr~ Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney that <br />mhe following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> Approval of City Council Minutes for December 11, 1972. <br /> <br /> Approval o~ Claims; Review of Financial Reports, November, 1972. <br /> <br /> Waive reading cf Ordinance No. 685, amending Title II, Article 2, Sec. 2-5.21(h) <br /> to allow pets other than dogs and cats in a single-family home. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 685. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No~ 72-211, approving progress payment No. 4, to <br /> Precomp Tanks~ Inco, for construction Bonde Reservoir, Project 72-4, in <br /> the amount of $40,056~40~ <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori,oPearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEAR1NGS <br />A_~!ication of the Plannin~ Commission of the City of Pleasanton to place in a <br />~= District the following. properti.es: Parcel 1-1~ Block 3295~ Assessor's Map <br />Book 946~ 9ontaining 2~70 acres~ more or less~ Parcel 1-2~ Block 3295~ Assesso~'.s <br />~ containin~ 2.58 acres~ more or less; Parcel 3-8~ Block 3295~ <br />Asses8oz's Map Book 946~ containin~ .6.9~ acres~ more or less; said properties <br />frontin~ on Santa Rita Road~ or more commonly known as the Western Sierra~ Ed- <br />win Wortham and Mel Mack~ <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edgar stated the Planning Commission was recommending a different zoning <br />on these properties than had been stated in the agenda (S District), as follows: <br /> Western Sierra prope=ty to the PUD District <br /> Edwin Wortham property retained in the A District <br /> Mel Mack property ~o the C-F District. <br /> <br /> Cas~ro presented ~he staff report, stating the recommended changes are <br />compatible and coordinated in this area, and fit the needs of the various pro- <br />perty ownezs~ <br /> <br /> M~;. Jack Bras, Architect representing Valley Realty, owners of the Western <br />Sierra p~oper~y, sta~ed ~hey were in agreement with the Planning Commission re- <br />commendation and were beginning to design and develop a well and integrated use <br />of this land. <br /> <br /> <br />
