Edgar!presented the staff report regarding this matter, which <br />was requested by the City !CounCil at last week's meeting~' '~tatlng'~~hat <br />the application was a permitted use in this District and that' ~h~"plan <br />as submitted was found to be architecturally in keeping with the char- <br />acter of Pleasanton and with the architecture of the area. No action <br />was taken by the !City Council. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were n'o SpeCial Reports presented at. this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report of the Planning Commissi6n' Re: Review Of Preliminary Plan for <br />Neighborhood Park at Kottinger Village <br /> Mr. Castro presented the staff report regarding this matter and <br />recommended approval of the preliminary plan for this Park. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that a renewable time limit for the <br />demolition of the temporary building currently housing the offices of <br />the Housing Authority be established. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid requested a report regarding the ownership of the <br />rights-of-way for possible bicycle trails and a connection to the <br />Kottinger Park facility. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson, and seconded by Councilman <br />Herlihy, to approve, in concept, the preliminary plan for a Neighbor- <br />hood Park at Kottinger Village. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Regort of the Planning Commission, Re: Capital Improvement Program- <br />Fiscal 1972-73 <br /> Mr. Edgar ~resented the staff report regarding this matter, <br />stating that this is the Capital Improvement Program for the remainder <br />of this Fiscal Year as set forth in the Budget. He further stated <br />this schedule is a timetable and shows when projects are to be accom- <br />plished, and can be used as a means of monitoring these projects by <br />the City Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid commended the staff on their planning and scheduling <br />device as a way to inform the Council regarding these projects, and <br />asked if this could be extended to previous projects which the Council <br />had requested from the staff, such as a review of the General Plan <br />circulation element in the southwest quadrant of the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar stated this matter was informational only and no action <br />is required. <br /> <br />Report of the Planning Commission, Re: Review of the prop. os..ed annex- <br />ation of camp Parks to VCSD <br /> Mr. Castro presented the report regarding this matter, stating <br />that the Planning Commission supports the position and thoughts <br />expressed by the City Manager in his letter dated September 27, 1972, <br />to the Board of Directors of the Valley Community Services District. <br />He further stated that any other comments would be premature at this <br />time. <br /> <br /> -2- 12/4/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
