P~Jress Report Re: Cable Television Service <br /> A progress report was presented by the City Manager dated November 14, 1972. <br /> Present to answer questions was Mr. Derick representing Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid commended Mr~ Derick and his organization for the efforts they have <br /> exerted in alleviating the problems as noted on Page 1 of the City Manager's report. <br /> <br /> Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar requested that this item be taken under No. 12 - CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE <br /> REPORTS~ <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports submitted on this item. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Progress Report on Expansion of V.C.S.D. Plant <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented a verbal report on the meeting held between the Pleasanton <br /> Sewer Committee, V.C.S.D~ Sewer Committee and certain developers. <br /> <br /> The Council instructed Mr. Edgar to write a letter to the State Water Quality <br /> Control Board requesting that the meeting to be held on December 7 in Los Angeles <br /> be postponed in order that this City may have additional time to prepare a statement. <br /> In addition, the City should request that this meeting be held here in Pleasanton in <br /> lieu of Los Angeles, since the area most greatly affected would be the Amador-Liver- <br /> more Valley, as VoC~S.D~ would possible run the risk of losing certain Federal Grant <br /> funding due to inability to meet the standards of the State Air Resources Board. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Pearson brought up the question of A-board signs and related problems; <br /> that he did not! feel there is equal enforcement o£ the program. <br /> <br /> Council Pearson also recommended that a resolution be adopted and forwarded to <br /> the Legislature requesting that investigation be conducted into the operations of BAIT, <br /> in light of recent publicity on discrepancies in that agency's operations. It was <br /> concluded that the City Manager investigate this matter and send back a report to <br /> Council at the next meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 9:50 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid z"econvened the meeting at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> it was mcved by Mayor Reid and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that Mr. James <br />Trimmingham and Mr. Tom Androws be appointed as co-chairmen of the City of Pleasanton <br />General Plan Review. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSEN'I: None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:10 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori <br />and seconded by Mayor Reid that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Adjourned <br />Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on November 27, 1972. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfu].ly submitted, <br />W ~LERK -3- 11/20/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
